Rebecca Garrett is a Toronto based artist whose use of media is situation specific. Since graduating from the Ontario College of Art in 1981, Garrett has been exhibiting single channel experimental videos; mixed media and performative interventions; site specific installations; photo-based wall pieces; and film and video installations, in numerous venues in Canada and abroad.
Garrett has been involved in many artist, activist and solidarity communities. She was on the board of directors of YYZ for five years in the early 80’s and was President of the Board of Directors of Charles Street Video from 1998 – 2005, and continues to work with a number of groups and individuals in Toronto, including the Hard Pressed Collective (The Olive Project), Mashed Economies (The Money Project), and CONVERsalón.
Anastasia Senchenko, film critic. Born in 1987 in Barnaul, graduated from Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, majoring in Publishing and Editing, and St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television, majoring in Film Studies. Publishing in Cinema Art, Seance, Kinochannel.ru, The Village, Cinemaflood and many other publications.
Nick Jordan is an artist-filmmaker based in Manchester (UK). Exploring the interconnections between natural, social and cultural histories, Jordan’s hybrid documentary films have been shown extensively at international exhibitions and festivals, including Special Focus programmes at the London Short Film Festival (UK), Minimalen (Trondheim, Norway) and HOME Artist Film Weekend (Manchester, UK). Recent short films include Concrete Forms of Resistance (2019), Stratum (2018), Thought Broadcasting (2017), The Atom Station (2015). Nick Jordan studied Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University (BA) and Manchester Metropolitan University (MA), and is a programmer for Braziers International Film Festival (UK).
